Red Cross Assists First Responders During Hayden Baptist Church Fire

On Wednesday, July 11th, a fire engulfed Hayden Baptist Church on Hayden Road in Couchton in Aiken County, and our disaster volunteers were there to support first responders as they faught to put out the fire.

After receiving a call for assistance, three of our Aiken County Red Cross volunteers loaded up an Emergency Response Vehicle and went straight to the scene.  Snacks and water were provided to the nearly 100 emergency personnel who worked to put out the fire.
