Red Cross volunteer and real life hero, Elizabeth Fletcher, shares her experiences while being deployed after the tornado outbreak ripped through the south this past spring. Fletcher brings back a wealth of experience from her deployment, and hopes to increase the number of disaster volunteers throughout the Columbia Region.
The American Red Cross relies on volunteers to help people prepare for emergencies, provide training in lifesaving skills, assist those affected by disaster and provide transportation to critical medical appointments. Nationally, volunteers constitute 96% of our total workforce, and locally, there are 19 volunteer positions filled for every one paid staff. Without our volunteers there would be no Red Cross.
If you are committed, compassionate, community-minded and look forward to providing services for the greater good of the community, join us today and be a real life hero! For more information or to sign up today, call (803) 540-1223 or click here.
Thank you for supporting the American Red Cross!
