Columbia Region Prepares for Tornado Season with Shelter Drill

 

On Friday, April 1st all five chapters participated in damage assessment and sheltering exercise that simulated response caused by a “tornado,” and opened multiple shelters throughout the region to accommodate “clients” displaced due to this disaster. The exercise was part of the on-going preparedness training Red Cross volunteers and staff undertake throughout the year.
